Leslie grew up in Charleston, South Carolina and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Charleston in 1993. Two years later she entered the University of South Carolina School of Law. While attending law school, Leslie was a member of the Moot Court Bar, participating in the ABA Moot Court Competition in her second year of law school. She was also a member of the Environmental Law Journal, and the social chair of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity.
After graduating from law school in 1998, Leslie worked as a public defender with the Charleston Public Defender's Office until 2002. During her tenure with the CCPD's office, Leslie worked on a number of high profile cases, and gained extensive trial experience.
In late 2002, Leslie began working for Mike Kelly in his Myrtle Beach office. Since moving to the Myrtle Beach area, Leslie has been active in the community, serving as a past board member for CareTeam, a non-profit AIDS service organization, graduating as a member of Leadership Grand Strand, Class XXV, and coaching the St. James Middle School Mock Trial Team.
Leslie's practice areas include personal injury and other civil litigation, workers' compensation, disability benefits law, family immigration, and criminal defense. |
